Why TEK instead of standing seam?
TEK provides the durability of steel with a textured, residential appearance that helps make minor fading, staining and surface variations less noticeable than on broad, flat panels. Its built-in airspace promotes ventilation and helps reduce attic heat. The modular panels also allow pipe jacks, vents and other penetrations to be carefully integrated and flashed within the roof system. Standing-seam roofs can perform well, but their long panels expand and contract, requiring precise flashing, boots and sealants around every penetration.
